The Dark One

Screaming for help. He screamed and screamed. Nobody came.
The man screamed, wailed against the walls of his cell. His anguish reverberated against the cold stone around him.
As the tears ran down his face, his throat burned from his agonizing pain.
Footsteps.
“Hello? HELLO!? HELP ME! HELP MEEEE!!” The man cried out.
The footsteps got louder.
After what seemed an eternity, a figure appeared in the door, obscured by shadow.
“Thank you! Oh, God thank you! Please, help me!” He pleaded.
The figure flashed a pearly white smile as he slammed the door shut.
Shrieks of terror shook the cell, as the footsteps walked away.
